IT Data Scientist- Pharmaceutical
Job Title: IT Data ScientistLocation: Remote (or Hybrid in St. Louis, though being based in St. Louis is not required)Contract Length: 6+ months
Job Summary:
This role can be performed remotely or on a hybrid basis in St. Louis (St. Louis location not mandatory).
Department/Team Overview:The Global OnePSS Digital Unit is part of the OnePSS framework, which focuses on improving operational efficiency, driving digital transformation, and encouraging collaboration across different regions and functions.
Position Overview:The main responsibility of this role is to use Neo4j to develop and manage an API backend that will provide graph data for efficient, scalable data management and analysis solutions.Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop graph database solutions using Neo4j.
Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define the database architecture.
Create data models and schemas optimized for graph traversal and query performance.
Handle data integration and migration to incorporate various data sources into the graph database.
Write and maintain Cypher queries for data manipulation and retrieval.
Monitor and enhance database performance for scalability and reliability.
Provide technical support and resolve database-related issues.
Education Details
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in graph database development.
Strong expertise with Neo4j and the Cypher query language.
Solid understanding of graph theory and data modeling.
Experience in data integration and migration.
Proficient in optimizing database performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with other graph databases and related technologies.
Experience in software development, particularly with APIs (Rest/GraphQL).
Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
Experience with cloud-based database solutions.

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
