Job Title:-Information Technology Data Governance Project Manager

Onsite in Santa Clara, CA or Austin ,TX. 100% onsite

Long term Contract

Data Governance Qualifications

  • Prior work experience (at least 3 - 4 years) as a functional analyst in master data/data governance areas

  • Experience coordinating integrations to other applications such as SAP ECC / MDG, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Hadoop, Workday, etc.

  • Experience in data governance and standards management and data governance framework therefore implement and follow industry standards and best practices in data governance and management

Project management Qualifications

  • Must have 3 - 4 years experience project managing IT projects in the data governance space, including minor enhancements, continuous improvement projects, and large projects

  • Hands-on experience managing budgets ( especially large projects ), scope, timelines, project status reports, project deliverables (BRD, design doc, test plans, training, etc.), and technical resources

  • Must be able to engage with the organization’s formal SDLC Process teams and execute the related processes.

  • Must demonstrate capability to proactively follow-up and drive project issues to closure

  • Must have experience promoting changes to production and associated methodology

Other Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate the implications of data changes and work alongside functional and IT teams to execute end to end implementations. Must be comfortable working in a matrix organization.

  • Must be highly analytical: can breakdown issues, systemically think through an issue, and identify root cause

  • Must be able to effectively understand business perspective, address their issues, and communicate well with business stakeholders

  • Ability to learn quickly and must be a team player

  • Self-starter and proactive, able to work independently and manage deliverables

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills: active listener and have ability to clearly communicate ideas, presentations and project statuses to different groups within the company ( IT and business, executives, data councils, Steering Committees )

  • Must have excellent knowledge in using Microsoft products: PowerPoint, MS Projects, Excel, and Word

Strongly Preferred - Certified in PMP, CMP, and/or Agile

  • Have experience working with data governance tools such as Alation, Collibra and/or Informatica

Nice to Have

Experience with AI technology is a plus
