Job Description:
· Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that facilitate active learning.
· Assist students and provide appropriate feedback on their work
· Assign and grade homework, tests and assignments.
· Communicate with college staff to understand the program expectations.
Job Details:
· This is a contract position, and the number of working hours depends on assigned classes.
· Currently the classes are conducted online, but the instructor must be available to attend on-campus events when required.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Business Management or equivalent related field
· Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience as a Microsoft Azure Data Engineer (Microsoft Technologies)
· Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification is required.
· Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, and ADLS.
· One or more years of experience in Teaching (in the relevant field) preferred
· In-depth understanding of concepts of business intelligence and data warehouse.
· Strong background in data warehouse design.
· Experience in designing and implementing data solutions on Azure
Soft Skills:
· Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills
· Ability to explain new ideas and unfamiliar concepts in a clear and concise way
· Ability to handle students of different backgrounds effectively.
Technical Skills (one or several of these skills):
Introduction to Data Science and Engineering:

Understanding of data science concepts, methodologies, and workflows.
Knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and statistical analysis.
Familiarity with machine learning fundamentals and AI applications.

Fundamentals of SQL Programming:

Strong command of SQL syntax, queries, and database design.
Experience with stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.
Ability to perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations.

Data Visualization and Reporting Tool (Power BI):

Expertise in Power BI report and dashboard development.
Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query.
Ability to connect Power BI with various data sources (SQL, Azure, APIs, etc.).

Fundamentals of Python Programming:

Proficiency in Python programming for data analysis and automation.
Experience with data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, etc.).
Understanding of object-oriented programming and scripting.

Azure Data Warehousing & Data Pipelines:

Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly SQL Data Warehouse).
Experience with data lake architecture and data ingestion.
Proficiency in Azure Data Factory (ADF) for ETL workflows.

Azure Databricks & Data Services:

Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Azure Databricks.
Ability to process large-scale datasets using PySpark/Scala.
Understanding of Azure Data Services like ADLS, Event Hubs, and Azure SQL.

Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Project:

Practical experience in building end-to-end cloud-based data solutions.
Working knowledge of Azure Data Platform services, including Azure Synapse, Databricks, and ADF.
Strong grasp of data governance, security, and performance optimization in Azure environments.
