

Health Equity BI Developer
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and proficiency in various BI tools and technologies.
Summary:
-Bachelor’s or equivalent work experience required-2 or more years as BI Developer required-Healthcare experience preferred-HealthEquity and Tableau experience required
-Familiarity and experience with data modeling and query logic leveraging MS-SQL or other programming logic-Proficiency with analytics visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI.-Effective communicator to both clinical and technical audiences, using appropriate language, terminology, and formats, including but not limited to being able to present and explain data analysis results, findings, and recommendations in a way that is relevant, accurate, and actionable-Competence with healthcare data sets (clinical, administrative, financial, operational etc) and concepts including standards (ICD, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, SNOWMED)-Ability to extract, integrate, and analyze data from AllScripts SCM, Infinity databases-Experience leveraging Oracle Health Cerner HealthAnalytics/Population Health platforms. to access, analyze, and report on healthcare data from various sources, such as electronic health records, claims, registries, surveys
Duties
Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions.
Utilize SQL to query databases and extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
Implement ETL processes using tools such as Talend to ensure data integrity and availability for analysis.
Analyze big data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Create RESTful APIs to facilitate data access and integration with other applications.
Work with Linked Data principles to enhance data interoperability across systems.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and analytics.
Experience
Proven experience in analytics, with a strong focus on data analysis and visualization techniques.
Proficiency in SQL for database querying and manipulation.
Familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks is a plus.
Experience with Talend or similar ETL tools is desirable.
Knowledge of Java programming language is beneficial for developing custom solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets effectively.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings clearly.
