Our retail client is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in evolving and enhancing their data infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with analytics and business teams, refine data models, and promote data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role is fully remote but candidates must work EST hours.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60 - $70 / hr. w2

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to enhance data accessibility.
• Build and manage infrastructure for efficient ETL processes.
• Provide technical support and lead discussions with end users.
• Operate independently while managing data needs across teams and products.
• Diagnose and resolve data issues with thorough root cause analysis.
• Apply data governance, security, and quality assurance practices.

Top Skills/Requirements:
• SQL Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• API/ETL Development: Solid programming experience, particularly in API and ETL development using Python.
• Python Programming: Strong skills in Python for data engineering tasks.
• GCP Proficiency: Experience with Google Cloud and Dataform for data warehousing and analytics.

Bonus Skills:
• Experience with Tableau for data visualization.
• Familiarity with Continuous Development, Continuous Integration, and Automated Testing.
• Knowledge of data engineering project management, including documentation, GIT
