Job Title: Project Manager (EPM/Planning Tool Implementation) – Hands-On Role

Department: Finance / Accounting

Location: London

Overview:

We are currently looking for an experienced and proactive Project Manager to lead the roll-out of Vena, our new Corporate Performance Management (CPM) platform. This is a key role that involves managing the full project lifecycle—from planning and configuration through to data migration, reporting setup, and training.

The successful candidate will bring strong project delivery expertise, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a solid grasp of finance operations. You’ll work closely with internal finance and accounting teams, IT, and third-party vendors to ensure the successful implementation of the system within the agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery & Management

   • Create and oversee a detailed project plan covering scope, objectives, deliverables, timeline, and budget.

   • Allocate tasks, manage resources, and track overall progress.

   • Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies.

   • Ensure the project follows best practices and standard methodologies.

Stakeholder Collaboration

   • Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders across finance, IT, and external partners.

   • Foster collaboration across teams to drive alignment and progress.

   • Provide regular status updates, highlighting key achievements, blockers, and next steps.

Data Migration & Quality Assurance

   • Lead hands-on data migration efforts from legacy systems into Vena.

   • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of migrated data.

   • Coordinate with IT to resolve discrepancies and support data cleansing where needed.

System Configuration & Reporting

   • Gather reporting and analysis needs from finance stakeholders.

   • Configure the Vena platform to align with business requirements.

   • Develop dashboards, templates, and standard reports to support decision-making.

   • Ensure reporting outputs are accurate and user-friendly.

Training & User Support

   • Design and deliver training materials to ensure smooth user adoption.

   • Offer ongoing support during go-live and post-implementation phases.

   • Maintain clear project documentation, including process guides and configuration details.

Vendor Coordination

   • Manage relationships with Vena implementation partners.

   • Ensure third-party deliverables are aligned with internal objectives and timelines.

   • Work in tandem with internal IT and vendor teams to ensure integration success.

Qualifications & Skills:

   • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, IT, or a related discipline.

   • At least 5 years of project management experience, ideally within a finance or accounting context.

   • Demonstrated success implementing CPM tools such as Vena, Anaplan, Hyperion, or similar.

   • Strong knowledge of planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.

   • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.

   • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.

   • Confident communicator, with strong interpersonal and presentation abilities.

   • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

   • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, plus solid knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools.

Desirable:

   • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification.

   • Hands-on experience with Vena software.

   • Understanding of SQL and relational databases.

   • Exposure to business intelligence platforms and data warehousing.

Work Environment:

This role is based in central London (Holborn), with an expectation of on-site presence at least three days per week.
