Contract Details:

Role: Site Reliability Engineer

Rate: Up to £650 / day Outside IR35

Location: Cheltenham (3 days per week on-site)

Contract Length: 12 Months (+ extensions)

The Role:

You'll play a key role in supporting agile development teams by optimising infrastructure, automating workflows, and enhancing security for a distributed microservices platform. You'll be responsible for maintaining cloud-based environments, improving deployment pipelines, and ensuring system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

   • Manage and improve cloud infrastructure.

   • Oversee and enhance CI/CD pipelines.

   • Ensure security and compliance across systems.

   • Support product teams with infrastructure insights.

   • Proactively recommend improvements.

Essential Skills & Experience:

   • Strong Linux experience.

   • Expertise in AWS and scalable cloud infrastructure.

   • Proficiency in automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).

   • Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).

   • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools.

   • Solid grasp of monitoring, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
