Job Description:

Client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of a business-led technology platform for application development. As a hands-on developer, you will play a critical role in automating and deploying resilient AWS cloud infrastructure, building Helm charts and Terraform templates, and testing production code deployments. If you are experienced in AWS technologies, automation, CI/CD, and Python development, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

You will work within a team that is responsible for enabling DevOps at scale, driving advanced Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation, and contributing to a major digital modernization and transformation effort. Your contributions will ensure the scalability and standardization of cloud environments that align with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Development: Develop advanced cloud infrastructure patterns using Terraform, Helm Charts, and CloudFormation Templates.

Automation & CI/CD: Automate cloud infrastructure deployments and ensure continuous delivery with a focus on CD. Work with CI/CD tools like Jenkins to streamline the deployment process.

Infrastructure as Code: Build and maintain scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure templates for consumption by application teams, simplifying the coding knowledge required for automation.

Testing & Validation: Test and validate infrastructure components for production use at scale, ensuring that all capabilities align with business objectives and technical requirements.

Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders and business teams to understand requirements, identify technology dependencies, and communicate impact.

Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation related to infrastructure automation and cloud deployment procedures.

Qualifications:

Experience: 7+ years of relevant development experience in cloud environments, automation, and DevOps.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

AWS Cloud Expertise: Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure design, including resiliency patterns.

Kubernetes & Containerization: Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker.

Infrastructure Automation: Proficiency in Terraform, Helm Charts, and CloudFormation Templates for cloud infrastructure automation.

Python Development: Strong scripting skills in Python for automating cloud infrastructure tasks and deployments.

CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins, to automate the build and deployment process.

Observability Tools: Knowledge of observability and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.

Resilient Infrastructure Design: Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud resiliency patterns, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.

Automation Mindset: Strong desire to automate processes, standardize workflows, and scale infrastructure consumption for end users.
