

DevOps Engineer
Job Title: Software Engineer
Pay rate: $58 per hour
Duration: 4 months (temp to hire)
W2 contract only (No C2C)
Location- Remote (Prefer eastern time zone, but will consider central as well)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Software Engineer with a strong background in software development, troubleshooting, and technical analysis. The ideal candidate will have a results-driven approach to product support, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset. This role requires hands-on experience with Linux environments, networking protocols, and cloud-based deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions with patience and flexibility.
• Conduct deep technical analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex software and system issues.
• Collaborate in a team-oriented environment, providing hands-on product support.
• Adapt technology solutions effectively, demonstrating a thorough understanding of product architecture.
• Investigate and resolve ambiguous or conflicting data to identify root causes.
• Work independently to complete projects on time with minimal guidance.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 4-6 years of software development experience, with at least 3+ years of full-stack development and troubleshooting.
• Strong proficiency in Linux (Oracle, Red Hat, or CentOS preferred), including system administration, shell scripting, network configurations, and server virtualization.
• Experience analyzing network traffic, managing VLANs, and reverse-engineering protocols.
• Familiarity with databases, log analysis, performance tuning, and data manipulation via CLI.
• Exposure to Java, Ruby, or similar OOP languages with the ability to follow code walkthroughs. (any of the language is fine)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with IP telephony (e.g., CUCM, FreeSwitch) or related technologies.
• Knowledge of DevOps and automation tools such as Ansible, Containers, and Kubernetes.
• Background in system metrics, log processing, and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, InfluxDB).
• Understanding of SOLID design principles and software design patterns.
• Exposure to Tomcat, ELK Stack, Zookeeper, Openfire, and Vault.
