Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for a critical project involving the automation of migration from Azure DevOps pipelines to GitHub Actions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing automated solutions for migrating complex CI/CD pipelines, creating documentation, and ensuring successful transition of enterprise-level applications including marketplace apps. They will also possess strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and document existing Azure DevOps & Jenkins pipeline configurations and dependencies, especially identifying the presence of Azure Marketplace app integrations.
• Help develop automated migration tools and scripts for pipeline conversion
• Create and implement mapping solutions between Azure Marketplace and GitHub Marketplace components
• Design and execute testing strategies for migrated pipelines
• Create comprehensive documentation and runbooks
• Present technical findings and progress to stakeholders
• Mentor client on GitHub Actions best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues
Technical Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of YAML file structure and syntax
• Extensive experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions
• Proven experience in creating custom GitHub Actions
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and implementation
• Familiarity with Azure Marketplace and GitHub Marketplace applications
• Experience with automation tools and migration frameworks
• Understanding of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Soft Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience in technical documentation creation
• Ability to present complex technical information to stakeholders
