

Developer/Programmer Analyst - Power BI
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Developer/Programmer Analyst – Power BI to join our team on a W2 contract basis to plan, develop, test, and document computer programs. The ideal candidate will apply their expertise in programming techniques and computer systems to evaluate user requests for new or modified programs. Responsibilities include determining feasibility, cost, and time required for development, ensuring compatibility with current systems, and optimizing system capabilities. Developers will also collaborate with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives. Utilizing methodologies such as structured analysis, design, and object-oriented development, they will outline the necessary steps for program development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, develop, test, and document computer programs based on user requirements.
• Evaluate user requests related to financial, human resources, clinical research, statistical studies, and infrastructure projects.
• Determine feasibility, cost, and time requirements for program modifications.
• Ensure compatibility of new or modified programs with current system infrastructure.
• Consult with users to identify and clarify program objectives.
• Formulate plans and methodologies for structured analysis, design, and object-oriented development.
• Develop and deploy PowerBI dashboards, transforming Insight to Impact (I2I) dashboards from internal-facing to public-facing.
• Design and implement solutions to extract, load, and deploy data between I2I databases and PowerBI dashboards.
• Adapt and deploy PowerBI dashboards to a public-facing location while integrating user feedback.
• Support the creation of a new EPP map in PowerBI based on existing ArcGIS maps.
• Develop necessary documentation for ongoing maintenance and updates.
Work Hours and Location:
• The primary work location(s) will be 100% Remote, Work Location Within the United States.
• The working position is Telework.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates who do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements may not be considered for this opportunity.
• 8 years of experience with PowerBI (or other dashboard applications).
• 8 years of experience with SAS.
• 4 years of experience with Data Gateways.
• 4 years of experience with SQL.
• 4 years of experience in Creating and Maintaining Documentation.
• 2 years of experience with SmartSheets.
• 2 years of experience with ArcGIS.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 4 years of experience working with Relational Databases.
• 2 years of experience with Education Data.
• 2 years of experience with State of Texas Agency projects.
• 2 years of experience with Ed-Fi Data Standard.
