Database Administrator
Salary: $52.25 to $60.50 hourly
Description
We are looking for a Database Administrator to join our team based in Memphis, Tennessee. As a Database Administrator, you will be managing and maintaining Oracle E-Business Suite environments, performing database backups, recovery and cloning, and ensuring compliance with database security and regulatory requirements. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Ensure the optimal performance of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments through regular updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Coordinate the successful cloning and migration of EBS environments.
• Proactively resolve EBS application issues through effective troubleshooting.
• Handle the administration of Oracle databases (12c, 19c, and later), including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Implement database high availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Data Guard, RAC).
• Conduct database capacity planning and forecasting to ensure scalability.
• Collaborate closely with application developers, system administrators, and business users to support EBS and database operations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database and EBS-related issues.
• Uphold compliance with database security and regulatory requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle database and EBS technologies.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures.
• Manage database storage and tablespace.
• Monitor and manage database alerts and logs.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Linux Technologies is required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure is a must
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is necessary
• Experience with MySQL is expected
• Ability to perform Optimization tasks is required
• Proficiency in AB Testing is desired
• Experience with Backup Technologies is necessary
• Knowledge of Cluster Analysis is advantageous
• Familiarity with Configuration Management is required
• Proficiency in Database Administration is a must
