

Data Warehouse Analyst
OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage data to drive business decisions, enhance operational efficiency, and provide insights that support strategic initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of data analysis tools and methodologies, as well as the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
Duties
Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, developers, and project managers, to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements for data-related projects.
Translate business needs into clear technical specifications and user stories to align with project goals.
Analyze current business processes and workflows, identifying inefficiencies and recommending practical solutions.
Create detailed process models and diagrams to illustrate current and future states of business workflows.
Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment on project objectives and clear communication throughout.
Facilitate meetings, and presentations to gather insights and share findings.
Support Agile project teams by providing business context and assisting in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and refinement.
Proactively monitor project progress, identifying risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business requirements, user stories, process flows, and training guides.
Ensure all documentation is accurate, well-organized, and accessible to stakeholders.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Experience
Bachelor’s in computer science or engineering, Information Technology, or High School diploma and relevant work experience.
3+ years’ work experience as in a Business Analyst capacity required.
4+ years’ experience in the P&C Homeowner’s insurance industry
Certification or proven experience in Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) preferred.
Qualifications/Skills And Competencies
Solid understanding of P&C insurance workflows and terminology.
Hands-on involvement in data-centric projects, with knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
Exposure to Microsoft data tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL Server) and Azure data tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying and addressing business challenges.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon into business terms and vice versa.
Advanced level knowledge of data sources, tools, applications, and business drivers.
Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work independently while effectively communicating with multiple teams.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
