Data Strategist / Architect / Engineer / Project Manager to Create Data Mart

About the Job

Our client is a top ten Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) in the U.S. seeking an experienced Data Architect / Data Engineer to project manage the creation of a data mart. This initiative aims to streamline data storage, enhance accessibility, and ensure efficient data integration across business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, pipeline development, and cloud-based data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and implementation of a data mart in Google Cloud (BigQuery).
• Develop and optimize Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
• Migrate and integrate data from various sources while ensuring data governance and security.
• Establish refresh schedules, integration methods, and storage solutions to future-proof the architecture.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and develop a scalable solution.
• Provide project management oversight, ensuring timely execution and alignment with strategic goals.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining performance and security standards.

Qualifications:
• Expertise in Extract, Load, Transform (ETL) processes
• Proficiency in SQL, Google Cloud, BigQuery, and Windows SQL databases
• Strong understanding of data governance, refresh schedules, integration methods, and storage solutions to future-proof architecture
• Experience building data pipelines and migrating data across different environments
• Ability to work independently and manage stakeholder expectations

Additional Preferences (Not Required)
• Prior experience in telecommunications or related industries
• Familiarity with enterprise-level data governance frameworks
