

Data Scientist
Job Description:
Insight Global is looking for a Data Scientist to join one of their largest financial services clients in Pittsburgh, PA. The Data Scientist will be joining the Credit Services Team and will mainly be responsible for using AI for efficiency improvement, business growth, and risk monitoring. The selected individual will be an asset to the teams’ credit decision making and loans processing. Additionally, the selected candidate should have Generative AI (Gen AI) experience and a wealth of knowledge in building applications, using AI models to extract data to come up with generative documents, and be comfortable working with multiple team members in an agile environment. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite, 2 work from home.
Additional day to day responsibilities include:
• Develop AI/ML and Generative AI / LLM (Large Language Model) models to address business problems from proof of concepts to production-level deliverables
• Produce thorough model evaluation and documentation to support decision and assess model risk
• Develop and communicate insights utilizing the scientific method to inform business decisions
• Collaborate with internal team members to understand strategic objectives, key performance indicators, and reporting requirements
• Coordinate with lenders, operations teams, managers, and the AI hub
• Establish relationships to obtain data and knowledge needed to support analytics
Must have skills:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of Generative AI (Gen AI) experience
• Hands on experience collaborating with Data Scientists in an AI hub
• Experience leveraging a GPT model
• Python, Java, scikit-learn, pandas, keras, RensorFlow/PyTorch experience
Nice to have skills:
• Financial Services industry or credit business experience
• Experience working in an agile environment
