

Data and Reporting Lead
My client, a leading utilities company is looking for an experienced Data and Reporting Lead to join their team for an exciting 6-month contract opportunity. This role is outside IR35 and offers hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate data improvement and remediation activities across multiple business teams to ensure operational asset data aligns with the Programme plan and goals.
• Develop a practical and effective reporting approach that supports operational performance improvement objectives.
• Oversee the development of new reporting and data analytical products in line with Programme delivery goals.
• When necessary, develop reporting and data analytics on existing platforms.
• Assist with data migration between platforms, including hands-on preparation and validation of data.
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience in developing and managing data improvement initiatives and projects.
• Experience in developing and implementing reporting and data analytical products.
• Hands-on knowledge of utilities industry reporting/analytics platforms such as Qlik Sense, Power BI, and Alteryx.
• Experience with data migration and ETL toolkits.
• Strong SQL experience.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, able to distil complex information into clear, concise messages for diverse audiences.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.
• A strategic thinker with the ability to address broader organisational needs.
• Highly organised, with a strong focus on deadlines, deliverables, and driving projects to completion.
• Able to thrive under pressure, managing tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
• Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, able to build credibility and navigate organisational challenges with tact and diplomacy.
• Experience advising senior leaders, including CEOs and executives.
• Resilient, adaptable, and able to handle ambiguity and change.
• Strong business acumen and organisational savvy.
• Familiarity with the Maximo System
Desirable:
• Experience within the utilities sector.
