Data QA Engineer

Robert Half is recruiting an experienced Data QA Engineer for a London-based financial service organisation. This is an initial 5-month contract with the potential for extension.

Role:

The Data QA Engineer will conduct data validation and testing to support migration, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Collaborate with data engineering on ELT testing to resolve issues in data movement and transformation.
Design and implement automated validation frameworks for pipeline accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
Develop CI/CD-integrated QA workflows for real-time testing and quality checks in Azure and Snowflake
Identify data discrepancies and ensure accuracy in API integrations and CI/CD workflows.
Develop reusable test scripts in Python and SQL to optimise testing across the data pipeline.
Document QA processes, test cases, and findings to build a knowledge base for quality assurance.

Experience:

The Data QA Engineer should be proficient in data validation across the full life cycle, including data collection, transformation, cleansing, and testing in complex environments.
Strong skills in SQL for advanced querying and Python for developing automation scripts and test cases.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including implementing data quality checks and validation frameworks.
Experience validating data movement and transformation processes in ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring error-free workflows.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar platforms for managing QA in continuous integration and deployment environments. Experience working in financial services, ideally within a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME).
