Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Data Product Owner to lead and manage the data-driven initiatives within our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for owning and managing the product backlog, translating business needs into actionable user stories, and driving the delivery of high-quality data solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, Agile methodologies, and experience working with data platforms, ETL processes, and financial regulations.
Responsibilities

Own and manage the product backlog, defining priorities based on business value and technical feasibility.
Translate business needs into functional and technical user stories for development teams.
Define and manage ETL processes, data mapping, and transformations across various data platforms.
Establish and document data contracts & API definitions, ensuring consistency and integration efficiency.
Drive data governance, quality, and compliance initiatives, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Collaborate with banking stakeholders, aligning data solutions with financial regulations and industry standards.
Work closely with development teams, providing clarity on requirements and resolving roadblocks.
Lead Agile Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Daily Stand-ups).
Ensure proper Master Data Management (MDM) practices, improving data consistency and usability.
Continuously optimize data platforms, databases, and workflows to enhance performance and usability.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in Data Product Ownership or related roles.
Strong expertise in product backlog management, requirements gathering, and Agile methodologies.
Hands-on experience in ETL processes, data mapping, and data modeling.
Deep understanding of data and API contracts, schema definitions, and integrations.
Solid knowledge of SQL, data platforms, and databases (RDBMS, NoSQL, MDM, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing).
Experience with data quality frameworks, governance policies, and compliance regulations.
Proven experience in the banking sector, with an understanding of financial data, risk, and compliance.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
