Data Platform Migration Lead / Contract / Hybrid

Hays are now looking for a Data Migration Platform Lead for one of our local clients.

Day Rate: Up To £550 p/d inside IR35

Hybrid Working

Location is Wiltshire

In the role, you will lead the external supplier and internal resources to migrate off the legacy platform onto the newly built AWS data platform supporting the organisation.
• Lead the migration design & implementation for the Integration Platform (AWS Glue, S3, Python, AWS API Gateway, AWS Batch, Mulesoft) and design and implement new integrations as required
• Deep dive into all migration tasks for the Data Platform across all technologies (AWS Postgres, Data Lake, MySql, Lambda functions, AWS batch, Python)
• Manage external supplier needs and internal business priorities
• Create new architectural patterns where needed
• Create system designs including system component models, data models, data flows, and functional design specifications
• Evaluate data model design, identifying gaps, and align proposed changes and impacts with best practices and established guidelines.
• Design and build all back end ETL, data platforms, and processing systems to deliver migration of the new platform
• Lead routine deployment activities effectively
• Enable effective technical review standard and checklist to identify gaps in technical deliveries
• Manage effective decommissioning plan for the legacy systems
