Data Operations Specialist/ Data Analyst IV

Onsite in Menlo Park, CA

Summary:

   • We are seeking a Data Operations specialist to support our marketing, CRM, and audience activation systems through precise, hands-on execution. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the datasets and workflows that power targeting, segmentation, and reporting.

   • You’ll be deeply embedded in the data layer, working with Hive, SQL, Python, Tableau, and internal platforms to ensure clean, accurate, and reliable data flows across marketing and CRM use cases. This is a tactical and technical role, ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable in complex data environments, and passionate about keeping systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

   • Build and maintain Hive tables, SQL queries, and data models for marketing and CRM workflows.

   • Support audience segmentation, customer targeting, campaign enablement, and measurement through hands-on data work.

   • Own the execution and delivery of data requests — from new table builds to data fixes and validation.

   • Troubleshoot data issues across systems and workflows, collaborating with Engineering and MarTech partners as needed.

   • Perform data validation, QA, and hygiene to ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets.

   • Help document data flows, schemas, and transformations for cross-functional reference and enablement.

   • Participate in privacy review processes by documenting data use cases and ensuring compliant data handling.

   • Serve as a reliable go-to partner for operational data needs across Marketing, CRM, and Analytics teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

   • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data operations, data engineering, or data analyst roles, ideally supporting marketing or CRM teams.

   • Strong expertise in Hive and SQL — capable of writing complex queries and managing large datasets.

   • Experience with data modeling, ETL pipelines, and managing workflows across multiple systems.

   • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and reliability.

   • Comfort working independently on technical execution tasks in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

   • Familiarity with data privacy requirements and documentation in regulated settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

   • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, or similar MarTech tools.

   • Prior experience supporting audience targeting, segmentation, or campaign measurement through structured data.

   • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose issues across multiple layers of a data pipeline.

   • Clear and concise communicator, especially when writing data documentation or resolving issues with stakeholders.

Pay range is $87 - $92 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
