

Data Manager
Role: Information System Manager – Data Manager/Lead
Location: San Leandro, CA (3 days onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months
Overview: The IS Manager (Data Management) will build and maintain data systems based on the Data Architect’s framework, focusing on:
• Data acquisition, quality, and reliability
• Data management processes and optimization
• Preparing data for predictive forecasting and modeling
• Statistical modeling and analytics for business insights
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead data strategy and integration of new datasets for analytics
• Manage a small team of data engineers, analysts, and management analysts
• Develop and maintain data models, improving accessibility and decision-making
• Design and implement data integrations, processes, and quality monitoring
• Build dashboards and BI solutions for data visualization and reporting
• Support Social Health Information Exchange (SHIE) analytics and stakeholder data needs
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years in data management/governance
• 2+ years in healthcare, public sector, or related informatics
• 3+ years with SQL, Python, R, data modeling, and schema design
• Experience in data warehousing, Azure, Snowflake, Power BI, Spark, and ETL preferred
Skills:
• Strong SQL, Python, and data analytics expertise
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with Agile, Azure DevOps, Jira, and ticket-based project management
