Overview:  

We are seeking a Data Engineer who will support our client. Our client is looking for a skilled professional to build robust data pipelines, improve data accessibility, and support analytics. This role will be integral to designing, building, and maintaining efficient data architectures while ensuring high-quality data is readily available for analysis. The selected candidate will help to inform and implement our client’s data strategy and data governance policies. This includes developing and documenting an enterprise system, next-generation applications, and reporting tools while ensuring compliance with NYS standards for data security and accessibility. This role requires 100% onsite presence.

Duties:

Participate in strategic planning efforts to design integrated systems and applications.

 Work with clients and vendors to build scalable data pipelines.

 Provide process improvements to existing ETL processes.

 Integrate with stakeholder APIs.

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for data solutions.

 Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for high performance.

 Monitor data systems for quality, reliability, and performance.

 Ensure data security and compliance standards are met.

 Help to cultivate a cooperative and learning environment across technical, analytic, and business teams.

 Review outputs to identify errors, inconsistencies, and edge cases in datasets.

 Support workstreams for multiple projects, including by setting priorities and timelines.

 Provide technical support to staff as needed.

 Other duties as assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

 Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.

 Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience with Salesforce, Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.

 Familiarity with ETL tools and big data technologies.
