Our client, a leading player in the technology sector, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the data management team supporting various analytical projects. The ideal candidate will have critical thinking, adaptability to change, and strong problem-solving skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Irving, TX
Pay Range: $53 - $57/hr (only W2)
What's the Job?
• Proficiency in ETL/ELT and well-versed in handling data structures through data pipelines for operational purposes.
• Expertise in SQL, Python/Spark, and data pipelining tools.
• Design and architect data pipelines for reporting and other downstream applications using open-source software and cloud technologies.
• Understand database concepts, Delta Lake (Operational and Analytical Data Store), and reporting concepts to design cloud-based solutions.
• Analyze and understand code from legacy tools like SSIS, Ab Initio, and SAS.
What's Needed?
• Proven experience in data engineering and data pipeline development.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, with GCP experience being highly desired.
• Ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
• Experience with data structures and reporting concepts.
• Familiarity with legacy data tools and their integration into modern solutions.
