Data Engineer
Responsibilities
Kforce is seeking a Data Engineer to support the migration of Alteryx workflows to an AWS-based environment. This role will focus on transitioning current data preparation and integration processes into a scalable cloud-native solution to improve efficiency and performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Alteryx and cloud data engineering tools, and a passion for optimizing workflows and data pipelines. Responsibilities:
• The Data Engineer will lead the migration of existing Alteryx workflows to AWS-native data pipelines using tools like Python, PySpark, and SQL
• Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand existing Alteryx use cases and ensure functional parity post-migration
• Design and implement efficient, scalable data pipelines on AWS, incorporating best practices for performance and cost optimization
• Work with cross-functional teams to manage data integration from various internal and external sources
• The Data Engineer schedule and monitor data workflows using Airflow or similar orchestration tools
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance throughout the pipeline lifecycle
Requirements
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, and PySpark for data transformation and pipeline development
• Hands-on experience with Alteryx, including workflow development and optimization
• Strong knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and EMR
• Experience using Airflow or comparable scheduling/orchestration tools
• Solid understanding of data integration practices across cloud and on-premise environments
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Apache NiFi for data flow management
• Familiarity with Tableau or other BI tools for reporting and validation
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
