

Data Engineer II
Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Mountain View, CA that is seeking a Data Engineer II. This is a 100% remote role, but a local candidate is preferred, if not then PST or CST time zones. Duties:
• Data Engineer II will be responsible for developing and translating computer algorithms into prototype code and maintaining, organizing, and identifying trends in large data sets
• Develop technical solutions to improve access to data and data usage
• Understand data needs and advise company on technological resources
• As a Data Engineer II, you will aggregate and analyze various data sets to provide actionable insight
• Develop reports, dashboards, and tools for business-users
Requirements
• Experience working with Tableau
• Experience with big data, build data pipelines, Java (nice to have)
• Familiarity with the computer coding languages Python, Java, Kafka, hive, or Storm may be required in order to oversee real-time business metric aggregation, data warehousing and querying, schema and data management, and related duties
• Should have knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimism and experience with processing and interpreting data sets
• Proficiency in SQL database design, proficiency in creating process documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and on teams
• Ability to work with AWS services and S3 buckets SQL, Hive, PySpark (may require obtaining Company domain knowledge to build the right query)
• Analytics background preferred; QA background - nice to have
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
