Salary: $50.00 to $55.00 hourly

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Data Engineer in Fairview, Tennessee. The individual will be part of an industry that focuses on data analysis and engineering. The role involves understanding, preparing, processing, and analyzing data to make it valuable and useful for operational decision support. Responsibilities
• Analyzing and making data valuable for operational decision support
• Harvesting data from various sources and performing data blending to develop advanced datasets and analytical cubes
• Developing and supporting standard processes for data exploration and transformation
• Working with Python scripts and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services Workflows
• Building Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services Tabular Models with a focus on SQL database work
• Collaborating with Business Analysis and Analytics teams
• Resolving system issues effectively and timely, including production outages
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel skills to develop complex spreadsheet formulas and create macros
• Understanding VBA code within the modules and demonstrating ability to learn
Requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with an emphasis on advanced features such as Pivot Tables and Macros
• Familiarity with Operations and Production, ideally within an engineering environment
• Strong analytical skills, with a focus on Data Analytics and trend analysis
• Proficient in utilizing Spreadsheets for data organization and analysis
• Demonstrable Engineering skills related to data management and processing
• Excellent Communication Skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with partners and stakeholders
• Proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages, with a focus on writing and optimizing Queries
• Ability to conduct comprehensive Business Analysis to inform data-related decisions
• Knowledge of various Computer Sciences modules, with a focus on data-related aspects
• Experience in using R Code for statistical computing and graphics
• Familiarity with Visual Basic (VB) for application development
• Experience in preparing Datasets for analysis and Transformation
• Proficiency in SharePoint Administration for collaborative data management
• Experience in SQL Database and SSIS - SQL Server Integration Services for data integration and transformation tasks
