Summary
This consulting opportunity is to support our client (a leading Financial Services company), with the data extraction, loading and transforming of data from a legacy mainframe DB2 database to AWS and Snowflake.
The project needs a consultant who:
• Has built data pipelines from numerous sources into Snowflake data warehouses
• Has built data workflow components in AWS serverless technologies
• Has experience building data transformations.
Key services:
The key services that you'll be asked to provide are:
• Build data pipelines from various sources into Snowflake data Warehouses
• Build data transformations using dbt core (data build tool)
• Build orchestration/workflow components in AWS serverless technologies such as EventBridge, Step Functions and Lambda
• Work in agile team delivering user stories for peer review and peer review other engineer’s code.
Mandatory Requirements:
Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate a high proficiency in the following:
• Snowflake
• SQL
• Dbt core (data build tool)
• ELT/ETL
• AWS - preferably certified to associate level along with serverless technologies such as EventBridge, Step Functions & Lambda
• Python
Optional Requirements:
It will also be advantageous if you have:
• Terraform
• GitHub / GitHub Actions
