Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience (5 –7 years) as a Data Engineer.
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
Strong proficiency in SQL and PySpark
Advanced expertise in Power BI for building insightful reports with rich visualizations, and proficient in writing efficient DAX formulas for advanced analytics.
Demonstrated experience in the retail industry, including the design and implementation of FIFO (First In, First Out) calculation methodologies.
Experience in data migration and mapping complex relational data between business systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into data engineering solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in unit testing and documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop a modern Azure cloud-based data warehouse capable of ingesting data from multiple sources while efficiently storing and organizing large datasets.
Create and implement an automated, repeatable data migration process suitable for deployment across multiple project phases.
Conduct regular data quality assessments, resolve inconsistencies, and apply data cleansing and validation techniques.
Develop data pipelines to clean, transform, and aggregate data from various sources.
Develop and deliver reports tailored to user requirements, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with business objectives.
