Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Databricks Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern data architecture solutions in a remote capacity. This is a Contract-to-Hire role ideal for individuals with strong data modeling expertise and hands-on experience in Azure Databricks and Unity Catalog. The right candidate will be comfortable translating business needs into technical strategies, working cross-functionally, and supporting scalable data platforms with a deep understanding of medallion architectures and warehousing best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

   • Design and maintain scalable data models (conceptual, logical, physical) to support business analytics and operational initiatives.

   • Implement medallion architecture within Azure Databricks.

   • Participate in and drive requirements discussions with business and technical stakeholders.

   • Reverse engineer source systems for model sourcing and integration.

   • Utilize Unity Catalog for data governance and access control.

   • Present architecture plans and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on architectural standards.

   • (Preferred) Provide support for supply chain workflows, including demand forecasting, inventory planning, and warehouse-to-store allocation.

Must-Have Skills:

   • Strong experience with data modeling concepts and tools such as Erwin.

   • Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Unity Catalog.

   • Deep knowledge of medallion architectures and data warehousing.

   • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-Have:

   • Knowledge of supply chain workflows such as forecasting, inventory planning, and allocations.
