Data Analyst - Alteryx & Tableau
Title: Alteryx & Tableau Data Analyst
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 6 months+
JOB DESCRIPTION/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Work with the team on the review of existing Tableau sites and projects
• Work with staff to consume refreshed data and update the Tableau server and visualizations
• Work with staff to build Alteryx workflows to create data sources for Tableau dashboards
• Tableau, Altery, SharePoint, MS SQL, and Oracle integration
• Designs, develops, and maintains professional customer-facing dashboards in Tableau server using various reproducible data sources, views, calculations, and parameters.
• Balance the use of standard reporting templates and metrics with the creative use of those templates and metrics to create compelling client narratives.
Required Experience:
• 5+ years of experience serving on an Analytics team required
• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting Tableau Desktop
• 10+ years of experience in mining data leveraging SQL (SQL Server and Oracle)
• 10+ years of experience in understanding and interpreting data to develop relevant and insightful visualizations
• 10+ years of experience in demonstrating statistical, analytical, and writing skills
• 5+ years of very strong experience soliciting, documenting, and communicating user requirements
• 3+ years of hands-on experience using Alteryx and Python
• 3+ years of experience around documentation of standards, best practices, and governance as it relates to Alteryx, Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and BusinessObjects (BOBJ)
• 3+ years of experience in data warehouse environment, ETL development, monitor and optimize ETL processes.
• 3+ years of experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for reporting and analytics needs
Preferred:
• 3+ years of recent hands-on experience with data in a PeopleSoft HRMS package
• 3+ years of recent hands-on experience with data in a PeopleSoft Financials
• package
• 3+ years of recent hands-on experience with various types of HIPAA data
