Our client, a leading consultancy, is looking for a talented Cloud Engineer for a 12 month fixed-term contract position. As a crucial member of the Cloud team, the successful candidate will support the Public Cloud infrastructure, building and maintaining robust environments. This role involves significant involvement in leveraging tools like Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes for thorough assessments and migrations.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Public Cloud environments, moving beyond routine tasks to take ownership of complex implementations.
• Infrastructure projects from inception, including assessing, categorising, and migrating on-premises systems to cloud solutions.
• Perform technical assessments and develop strategic migration plans leveraging various Public Cloud platforms.
• Build and standardise Cloud-based infrastructure across DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), creating repeatable patterns and frameworks.
• Implement IaC using Bicep/Terraform, contributing to technical discussions and decision-making processes.
• Ensuring effective use of CI/CD pipelines, observability, automation, and security throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.

Job Requirements
• Experience with enterprise-level technical assessments and cloud migrations, particularly to Azure and AWS.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform/Bicep, along with scripting skills in PowerShell.
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across IT domains and with subject matter experts.
• Understanding of DevOps culture, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and serverless architectures.
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Windows OS and/or Linux systems beneficial.
• Ability to liaise with internal and external customers at all levels.
• Self-starter, able to work under own initiative, and a good team player.
• Flexibility and availability for out-of-hours work.
