Cloud Engineer
Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Cloud Engineer. Responsibilities:
• Under the guidance and review of the company, the Cloud Engineer will be working on end-to-end VMWare/Windows technologies and environment
• Involves combination of VMware with Linux/Windows support/ backup and storage/ networking mix
• Includes but is not limited to migrations, ESXi activities, migrations, troubleshooting issues in VMWare and incident support
• Installation of approved ESX Servers, vSphere Client and VCenter Server
• Create the datastore for storing VMs and data
• Deploy Virtual Machines and use Clones, Snapshots, templates
• Health Check for VMs and ESX host
• Troubleshooting production issues
• Deploy and provide support to customers based on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
• Cloud cost optimization, migration readiness assessments and value realization
• The Cloud Engineer will be creating terraform templates as per the automation needs
• Participate in 'on call' rotations

Requirements
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Enterprise Cloud services
• Hands-on experience with Enterprise tools
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, Subnet, VLAN - Creation/Segregation, Load Balancing and VPN tunneling
• Knowledge of cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end-to-end cloud Infrastructure architectures and designs and recommendations
• Knowledge of cloud management technologies, techniques and cloud-based solutions
• Windows/VMware/Linux Administration
• Knowledge on Storage, Networking
• Scripting knowledge - Terraform, Ansible, JSON / Rest API calls, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Python
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
