• Collaborate with client subject matter experts to establish approved governance models and security plans
• Enable secure, incremental data transfers with strict adherence to governance protocols
• Apply data encryption standards (at rest/in transit) and role-based access controls using IAM
• Ensure vendor solution / containers fit within client container strategy and deploy with client-centric orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), or ECS)
• Utilize Azure-specific tools such as Azure Virtual Network (VNet), Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric for data integration and orchestration
• Configure logging, audit trails, and alerting to support full post-migration traceability
• Provide training and support to client teams post-migration to ensure ongoing compliance and operational excellence
Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering and secure data migrations
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, audit readiness, and security policies
• Hands-on experience with cloud IAM, encryption protocols, VPC setup, and access control policies
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, or ECS
• Skilled at designing fault-tolerant data workflows with minimal system disruption
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in banking or other high-compliance industries
Preferred Qualifications:
• Cloud certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Engineer)
• Experience working with financial institutions or regulated enterprise environments
• Background in implementing cloud-native governance, data cataloging, or access review workflows
• Experience authoring security plans, compliance checklists, and audit support documentation
Duration and Rate:
• Duration: 3–6 months (with opportunity to extend)
• Rate: $60-$100/hr, depending on experience and certifications
