

Business Intelligence Engineer
Responsibilities
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer 2 in Seattle, WA. Summary: As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will work on audit engagements to help with data analytics in various audit phases, provide training to auditors on data analytics tools and technology, set up data infrastructure for working with data, and create dashboards. You will work closely with businesses and functions to assess audit requirements for data analytics. You will have a relentless focus on the customers and dive deep into the challenges they face. You will also leverage machine learning and statistical techniques for advanced use cases. Responsibilities:
• The Business Intelligence Engineer will operate in a consultative capacity, analyze the functions, objectives and requirements of organizations within the company, and translate business requirements into technical requirements
• Identify and substantiate risks associated with business processes, policy, organization, procedures, and systems using data analysis and recommend remediation steps that reinforce business assurance
• Seek out the correct data sources required and using ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) methods to join, manipulate, and normalize the data into a consumable data set for testing and analysis
• The Business Intelligence Engineer will determine the appropriate method of data collection and research methodology, analyze and interpret results into actionable testing solutions which are summarized for audit findings
• Develop analyses & tools that will enable deeper analysis while increasing efficiency and effectiveness by reducing manual intervention while increasing sample sizes tested
Requirements
• SQL experience
• Python experience
• Experience with proof of running/owning larger scale impact project, analysis, or research
• Experience with SQL, including class projects, personal projects, research, prior internships, or volunteer work
• Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
• Experience working with internal and external stakeholders
• Able to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience applying basic statistical methods (e.g. regression) to difficult business problems
• Experience building and maintaining basic data artifacts (e.g., ETL, data models, queries)
• Experience with one or more analytics visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI)
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree
• Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
• Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
• Experience gathering business requirements, using industry standard business intelligence tool(s) to extract data, formulate metrics and build reports
• Experience in AWS or other cloud services
• Consulting, advisory, or related client service experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
