Job Title: Power BI Developer with D365 Business Central & Progressus Experience
Location: Remote
Contract Type: 6-Month Contract (Outside IR35)
Day Rate: £450-£525 per day
About the Role
My client is seeking a Power BI Developer with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (D365 BC) and the Progressus add-on for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Power BI development, with strong experience in data modelling and integrating data from D365 BC and Progressus to create insightful reports and dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, optimise, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
• Extract, transform, and analyse data from D365 Business Central and the Progressus add-on.
• Design and implement data models and DAX calculations for effective reporting.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, governance, and best practices in Power BI development.
• Improve reporting automation and self-service analytics capabilities.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimise Power BI reports for efficiency.
Key Skills & Experience
• Expertise in Power BI – including report building, DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
• Strong experience with D365 Business Central and the Progressus add-on, with a deep understanding of its data structure and reporting needs.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
• Ability to work with APIs and connectors to integrate various data sources.
• Experience in data visualisation best practices to create clear and insightful reports.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Synapse, Data Factory) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft certifications in Power BI or D365 Business Central.
• Experience with analytics in a D365 BC/Progressus environment.
