

Business Analyst
SHR Talent is partnering with a healthcare client in Nashville, TN in its search for a Business Analyst. The Business Analyst is a 1099 remote contract opportunity with an expected duration of twelve (12) months or more. The Business Analyst will support the Health Information Management, Coding, and Abstraction department, working with both internal and external stakeholders to create, implement, and support business processes, technical requirements, and analytics across various projects. As the Business Analyst, you will lead complex projects, analyze business needs, and integrate business processes with technology to achieve organizational goals. The Business Analyst should possess strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and statistical analysis skills, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and maintain relationships with stakeholders, strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and make informed decisions under pressure, and the ability to adapt to change and take proactive steps to resolve problems. Responsibilities:
Act as a consultant and mentor for analysts, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables, and providing guidance on business analysis best practices
Develop and maintain Business Analyst templates, tools, and frameworks, sharing best practices across teams
Facilitate communication between IT and business teams, helping define project scope and requirements, and ensuring stakeholder alignment
Manage solution requirements, tracking progress, and leading user acceptance testing
Assess business needs, present solution options, and manage changes in requirements while ensuring clear communication with stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in informatics, analytics, business, statistics, or a related field
5 – 7 years of business analysis or relevant experience
1 – 3 years of reporting and data analysis experience, preferred
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Power Business Intelligence (BI)
Healthcare experience, preferred
Experience with JIRA or large data set analyses, a plus
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), data science, and statistical techniques
