Business Analyst
General Description
The Business Analyst will collaborate with both business and technology teams to develop and maintain innovative solutions. This role plays a crucial part in analyzing and supporting the full lifecycle of technology and process enhancements—from ideation to implementation. The Business Analyst will lead the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business and functional requirements, including workflows, wireframes, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mapping, and data flows. Additionally, this role will support user testing and document processes and procedures as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
• Effectively communicate with peers and business partners—both verbally and in writing—demonstrating strong questioning, listening, and analytical skills to uncover deeper insights.
• Conduct interviews with business stakeholders to identify needs, challenges, and opportunities, offering scalable implementation options.
• Gather and analyze requirements, organizing and documenting business needs to support design and development, including current and future state workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mapping, and UI wireframes.
• Document business processes and procedures and prepare training and adoption materials.
• Lead and influence cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
• Provide consultation to development teams and product owners on enhancements for business-facing applications.
• Develop test cases, coordinate user acceptance testing, and verify production readiness.
Job Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 8–10 years of business analysis experience.
• Strong expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and workflow diagramming.
• Proven ability to lead and direct teams to achieve measurable results.
• Ability to articulate tailored solutions to meet business needs.
• Advanced experience with Agile, Lean, and Kanban software development methodologies.
• Proficiency in tools for workflow documentation and data mapping, including Excel, SQL, and Visio.
• Comprehensive understanding of analysis and documentation across the project lifecycle.
• Strong domain knowledge in finance and asset management.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Visio, Balsamiq, Jira, Tableau, and Agile methodologies.
