Description

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Technical Analyst to join our Television Production Technology Team, specializing in implementing innovative solutions that support the production of episodic television. This role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and building technology-driven solutions across production, post-production, production finance, business affairs, and creative affairs for multiple studios and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

   • Perform detailed analysis of data using SQL databases, multi-dimensional databases, or Excel.

   • Gather and analyze requirements to develop thorough test plans for applications and reports.

   • Create, estimate, and execute test cases while documenting test results.

   • Collaborate closely with developers to gain a deep understanding of applications.

   • Identify and communicate risks and issues effectively.

   • Conduct manual testing for web applications, reports, interfaces, and data conversion processes.

   • Validate and reconcile data using Excel and SQL queries.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

   • Minimum of 5 years of experience working on custom software development projects.

   • Proven ability to work at a detailed level to produce high-quality deliverables, including specifications and test plans.

   • Proficiency in writing test plans and conducting user acceptance testing.

   • Hands-on experience working with financial systems and Agile/SCRUM teams.

   • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and vlookup.

   • Ability to run basic SQL queries for database analysis.

   • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially working with developers and business analysts.

Preferred Qualifications

   • Experience working at a major studio or in television production/distribution.

   • Familiarity with SAP financial applications.

   • Knowledge of SQL-based relational databases like Snowflake or Oracle.

   • Experience using business tools such as Hyperion Planning.

   • Exposure to SOX applications.

Education

   • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) disciplines preferred.
