Job Title: Azure Cloud Engineer/Multi-Cloud Experience

Location: South St Paul, MN – Hybrid one day office

Duration: 6 months

Additional Information:

This position is a hybrid position with the consultant reporting to 390 N Robert Street, St Paul a minimum of 1-day per week.

Project Scope:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to design, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure and services, with a primary focus on Azure while supporting multi-cloud environments

Roles/Responsibilities:

   • Configure and manage Azure PaaS and Azure infrastructure services.

   • Implement and optimize Azure Data Platform solutions, including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake.

   • Configure and manage Azure Networking and integration with Hybrid on-prem, ensuring security, scalability, and performance.

   • Support multi-cloud environments using Azure Arc to integrate and manage workloads across on-premises and other cloud platforms.

   • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to automate cloud deployments and configurations.

   • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to enhance cloud governance and best practices.

Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and reliability

Mandatory Skills:

  1.  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

  1.  3–5 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, or DevOps roles.

  1.  Hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure, including:

  1.  Azure PaaS and IaaS (App Services, Virtual Machines, Containers, Kubernetes, etc.).

  1.  Azure Networking (VNETs, Load Balancers, NSGs, VPNs, ExpressRoute).

  1.  Azure Storage & Databases (Blob Storage, SQL Managed Instance, CosmosDB, Data Lake).

  1.  Azure Identity & Security (Azure AD, RBAC, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud).

  1.  Azure DevOps and GitHub (CI/CD Pipelines, YAML, GitHub Actions).

  1.  Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates).

  1. Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).

  1. Scripting & Automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

  1. Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures is a plus.

  1. Exposure to enterprise IT environments, including governance, compliance, and cost optimization in Azure.

  1. Strong hands-on experience in Azure PaaS, Infrastructure, and Data Services.

  1. Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake.

  1. Experience with Azure Networking, VPNs, VNET peering, and security best practices.

  1. Knowledge of multi-cloud management with Azure Arc.

  1. Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

  1. Understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance.

  1. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

  1. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Associate (AZ-305) (or equivalent experience)

  1. Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) (if working with DevOps and automation)

  1. HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (if Terraform is widely used)
