AWS Cloud Engineer
Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Sunrise, FL that is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
• Strong AWS expertise (EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, VPC, IAM)
• Experience with containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of networking, security groups, and service discovery in AWS
• Proficiency in Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation
• Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Envoy)
• Solid knowledge of REST API design and best practices
• Experience deploying Node.js or Java applications
• Strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and observability
• Understanding of API security and workload isolation in distributed systems
Bonus Skills
• Experience with multi-cloud strategies (GCP, on-prem to cloud migration)
• Knowledge of serverless architectures beyond AWS Lambda
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
