Role description

Our client, an electric vehicle manufacturer, is actively looking for an Application Administrator to join their Digital Workplace & Solutions team in Irvine or Palo Alto, CA! This role is 100% remote however candidates must be local to one of these locations in order to be eligible for conversion.

   • The Digital Workplace & Solutions team is responsible for creating and maintaining a seamless and productive digital experience for all employees. This role will be a key contributor in managing and optimizing a suite of employee engagement and productivity applications, such as Figma, Lucidchart, Airtable, Intranet & Communications platforms, Vizzlo, Smartsheet, and potentially other emerging technologies. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, configuration, support, and ongoing optimization of these tools to ensure they effectively drive employee engagement, productivity, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Application Administration & Configuration:

   • Serve as the primary administrator for assigned applications, including user provisioning/de-provisioning, access control, security settings, and configuration of features and functionalities.

   • Maintain and update application settings, workflows, templates, and integrations based on evolving business needs and best practices.

   • Ensure data integrity and security within each application.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

   • Provide expert-level technical support to employees for assigned applications, resolving issues promptly and effectively.

   • Develop and maintain knowledge base articles, FAQs, and other support documentation for end-users.

   • Escalate complex issues to vendor support or internal IT teams as necessary and track resolution.

User Training & Onboarding:

   • Develop and deliver training materials and conduct training sessions (virtual and in-person) for employees on the effective use of assigned applications.

   • Create and maintain onboarding documentation and processes for new users.

   • Promote adoption and best practices for utilizing the application suite.

Required Skills & Experience

   • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

   • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in administering and supporting enterprise-level software applications.

   • Proven experience in administering and supporting a significant portion of the following applications: Visual Collaboration & Design: Figma, Lucidchart, Project & Workflow Management: Airtable, Smartsheet, Data Visualization: Vizzlo (or similar data storytelling tools), and Intranet & Communication Platforms: Experience with modern intranet platforms (e.g., SharePoint Online, Confluence) and internal communication tools.

   • Strong understanding of user management, access control, and security best practices for cloud-based applications.

   • Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

   • Experience developing and delivering user training.
