Job Description

   • The [Product Operations and Analytics Manager, Payments Team] will leverage your natural curiosity and knowledge of data capabilities to deliver analytics and reporting projects within our Payments Business.

   • We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our team and help shape the strategy, user experience and roadmap for Payments products.

   • You will work with key business stakeholders and team members to identify problems and deliver insights and reporting that influence how we make decisions that have impact at scale.

   • In this role you will be part of a quickly growing business and will help enable expansion and decision making.

   • Our team works on improving cash flow for Marketplace sellers through Capital and payout products.

   • We want our sellers to have every option available that suits their needs: wherever, whenever, and however they want it. We are leveraging technology and managing partnerships to give our sellers the convenience they want when looking for funding solutions.

You'll Make An Impact By

   • Processing complex and large-scale datasets

   • Extracting insights from data, tracking trends, and optimizing business metrics.

   • Building interactive dashboards, compelling data visualizations and reports to support the business in key performance initiatives

   • Creating alerting mechanisms for behavioral insights

   • Collaborating across multiple xfn stakeholders including product, business, marketing and engineering

   • Designing and executing impactful experiments to enhance product adoption and renewals

   • Owning product operations and improving them

You'll excel in this role if...

   • You have strong business communication skills, both written and verbal; with ability to communicate and present to business teams, also ability to explain complex technical topics clearly & easily

   • You should possess strong business acumen, connecting the business needs to your knowledge of data science theories and methodologies to derive the best approach that is fit-for-purpose

   • You have at least 4 years’ experience in Mixpanel, SQL, Python, Tableau, Looker, or other data analytics and reporting tools

   • You have experience in common experimentation techniques and have strong understanding of analytical techniques like cluster analysis, cohort analysis and more.

   • You have the proven ability as a data analyst who develops, optimizes, and enhances analyses using large data sets, reporting, and/or techniques

   • You're an inquisitive, out-of-the box thinker who's continually on the lookout for opportunities to improve and innovate

   • You have consistently high standards, your passion for quality is inherent in everything that you do

   • You have the courage to fail fast

Minimum Qualifications

   • Bachelor’s degree in technology, analytics, data science or related field.

   • 4+ years’ experience in data analytics and reporting

   • Strong hands-on skills in sourcing, cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing large volumes of data using distributed computing platform and visualization tools (Mixpanel, SQL, Tableau, Python, R etc.)

   • Proven ability to build partnerships across stakeholders and team members

   • Strong planning and project management skills

   • Strong written and oral communication skills

   • Strong business acumen to harness actionable insights from data

   • Analyze campaign performance, product adoption and conversion funnel across channels and seller segments.

   • Develop Mixpanel dashboards for seller journeys in Seller Center for Capital and FP.

   • Develop segmentation dashboard to conduct RCA when we are falling behind target KPIs.

   • Support team in evaluating new product opportunities from the lens of prospective sizing and building a business case.

   • Scope new vendors /internal capabilities for experimentation, legal dependencies etc.

   • Support team in providing eligibility lists for marketing activations.

   • Own product operations and work towards continuously improving them while scaling (offer publishing, invoicing etc.)

   • Deliver and scale insights for Business, Product and Marketing teams.

   • Ensure the team is equipped with data to drive competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.

   • Actively participate in Data Infrastructure and Operations optimization efforts.

   • Design and execute impactful experiments to enhance product conversion.

What is the makeup of the team?

   • We are a close knit team of 9 people reporting to our Director of Payments Risk and Data Science, comprising Data Scientists and Advanced Analytics Managers.

   • This role would be reporting to one of the Advanced Analytics Managers.

Working Hours

   • 40 hrs/week 8am to 5pm in their respective time zone (PST/CST)
