

Analytic Associate
Fortuna is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate to support healthcare data reporting and evaluation for one of our clients. You will have experience with health-related data analysis and a passion for using insights to inform healthcare program success.
WORKSITE: Remote (U.S.-based only)
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, PST standard business hours
COMPENSATION: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Contract role through June 30, 2026, with potential extension through June 30, 2027

What You'll Do
• Conduct statistical and quantitative analysis on healthcare data including medical claims, pharmacy, dental, capitation, and eligibility files
• Analyze and interpret trends and outcomes of health-related programs and make actionable recommendations to clients
• Participate in developing analytic deliverables and reports for internal and client-facing use
• Support monthly data testing processes and quality checks
• Participate in analytic peer review and process improvement initiatives
• Provide ad hoc analytic support and advise clients on methodologies
• Present recommendations clearly in written and verbal formats to technical and non-technical stakeholders
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree (in a relevant field preferred: mathematics, statistics, informatics, economics, public health)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry
• At least 1 year of experience in quantitative/statistical analysis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Excel proficiency, including formulas and macros
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently with limited supervision
Preferred Qualifications
• 2-3 years of experience in the healthcare industry
• 2-3 years of quantitative/statistical analysis
• Familiarity with claims, encounter, and capitation data sets
