Job Title: AI Tech Architect

Location: London/ Coventry (1-2 days/week)

Salary/Rate: £400 per day INSIDE IR35

Start Date: February 2025

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to lead the establishment of an AI sandbox environment for a prestigious government institution. This environment will support innovative solutions, including chatbot development and document quality evaluation, enabling the rapid creation and integration of cutting-edge AI-driven ideas.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

The role requires a dynamic individual with expertise in Microsoft Azure (AI Services), Databricks, and open-source LLM models. You will collaborate closely with the Platform Architect to design and build this environment, leveraging infrastructure as code to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Architect, design, and implement a scalable and secure AI sandbox environment.
• Incorporate Microsoft Azure AI Services, Databricks, and open-source LLM models into the solution landscape.
• Collaborate with the Platform Architect to ensure alignment with the overall infrastructure strategy.
• Enable the development of solutions, such as chatbots and document quality evaluation tools, within the sandbox environment.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to facilitate automated, repeatable, and consistent deployment.
• Evaluate and integrate innovative AI tools and technologies into the sandbox environment.
• Ensure the environment supports rapid prototyping and testing of new AI solutions.

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:
• Proven experience as a Technical Architect, preferably in an AI-focused environment.
• Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure AI Services and Databricks.
• Strong understanding of open-source Large Language Models (LLMs) and associated technologies.
• Proficiency in implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
• Experience in designing scalable, secure, and innovative sandbox environments.
• Strong collaboration skills to work closely with platform and solution architects.
• Knowledge of AI-driven solutions, such as chatbots and document evaluation frameworks.
