We’re looking for an Actuarial Data Analyst with a passion for data, an eye for detail, and deep experience supporting underwriting and actuarial teams. This role will support ongoing enhancements and configurations to the StepWise (InFocus) quoting and rating application, playing a critical part in shaping healthcare product pricing and quoting processes.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably 5+, in data analysis, business systems analysis, or working with actuarial/underwriting models.

Responsibilities:

   • Support the StepWise application used by underwriting and actuarial teams

   • Translate Excel-based actuarial rating models into application logic

   • Contribute to data sourcing, requirement documentation, testing, and production support

   • Use SQL/BigQuery to extract and manipulate data, especially from DART/AEDW

   • Build and update Print Exhibits using Excel and VBA

   • Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, sales, and product teams

   • Support monthly releases, occasionally after hours (6–9 PM)

   • Participate in team meetings, UAT, and cross-functional reviews

Required Skills:

   • Expert-level Excel (especially with complex formulas)

   • VBA experience (used for automation and Print Exhibits)

   • Strong SQL and BigQuery knowledge

   • Experience supporting underwriting or actuarial teams

   • Familiarity with rating models or quoting logic

   • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:

   • StepWise/InFocus application experience

   • Healthcare or insurance industry background

   • Knowledge of SSRS, XML, or JSON

   • Programming background (Java, .NET, Python, etc.) is a plus

Location: Center City, Philadelphia (on-site 3x/week)
