The Yield Analyst will lead the digital advertising yield strategy. This role involves optimising ad product pricing, improving fill rates and developing strategies to enhance the overall performance of digital ad revenue streams. This is a 1 year Maternity Cover Contract role.
About The Role
• Proactively engage with senior stakeholders to drive digital advertising yield strategy and responding to changing business priorities as needed.
• Provide insight and analytics to senior stakeholders to drive business decisions.
• Define and maintain clear business rules to ensure we maximise digital profitability and implement strong cadence of review to drive compliance.
• Develop pricing action plans, measure and analyse results, initiate corrective actions and minimise the impact of risk.
• Partner with Ad Product team in evaluating new opportunities and strategies to ensure the successful adoption and monetisation of ad products.
• Working closely with Business Systems team in managing products in booking system, including product creation and changes.
• Producing monthly yield reports for senior stakeholders covering business KPIs and key data
• Manage and oversee an outsourced freelancer
• Collaboration is key in this role, involving close coordination with sales, ad product, ad operations, finance, business systems and data teams.
Essential
ABOUT YOU
• Extensive experience in digital advertising yield within the publishing industry
• Proven experience of using various analytical techniques on large business data to drive business outcomes
• Experience using advertising booking systems such as Google Ad Manager
• Skilled with analytics and data visualisation tools such Excel (including complex functions and pivot tables), Power BI, Google Big Query & SQL Server
About You
• Able to prioritise and triage business and user requirements including working to business deadlines.
• Ability to provide clear documentation, from training notes through to proposal or business change documents.
• Ability to make effective evidence-based decisions
• Previous experience of working on projects to deliver improvements on current business processes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive mindset
• Strong analytical skills with eye for detail and accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative
