Job: Sr. Data Modeler (Power Designer)

Location: Westlake TX Or Smithfield RI - 2 weeks Onsite per Month

Interview Two Steps - Candidate will also be given a data set and asked to create a model prior to the interview.

Top things Hiring Managers need:

1 - Communication – How tolerant a person could be while speaking with different teams. You may need to repeat the same thing to many entities from a different context

2 - Strong Dimensional Modeling, esp. in Snowflake – Must know answers to things like - facts available – advantage of each fact etc.

3 - SQL expertise and proficiency – Someone who knows about all SQL Joins and could deal with scenario-based questions. (80% of candidates were good in data modeling but they weren't having exp on SQL side)

Still need all other kinds of Data Modeling experience with Power Designer preferably and it's fine if someone has worked more on Erwin.

Equity and finance reporting. Associate will need to look at the data and understand how the data is going to be consumed and model the data accordingly.

BA will give requirement and the specs, and then the modeler will have to figure out how the data can be modeled to make sure multiple reports can use the data.
