The Senior Data Engineer will lead the design, development, and implementation of data solutions, including ETL, database design, and reporting tools. This role involves mentoring junior engineers, optimizing performance, and working with technologies such as MSSQL, Oracle, Snowflake, SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI. The Senior Data Engineer will collaborate with both technical and business teams to deliver data-driven insights and solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement data solutions (ETL, integration, reporting).

Optimize SQL queries and databases for performance.

Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical leadership.

Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and make informed decisions.

Utilize source control and CI/CD pipelines for streamlined development.

Develop automation scripts using languages like C# or Python.

Support database administration tasks, including backups and recovery.

Work within an iterative development process (Agile/Scrum).

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant experience (or 7+ years of data solution development experience).

Expertise in SQL, database design, and performance tuning.

Experience with ETL, data integration, and reporting tools.

Proficient in Visual Studio, SSDT, and source control/CI/CD processes.

Experience with scripting (C#, Python).

Strong Communication Skills And Experience Mentoring Technical Staff.

Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure).

Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
