Key Responsibilities

Duties

In your role as a Senior SQL Data Engineer, you will contribute significantly to the design and upkeep of IT solutions that enhance enterprise-level customer experience applications. Your primary duties will include:
• Developing and coding innovative solutions using Python for enterprise applications.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive system documentation, conducting thorough unit tests, and executing peer code reviews.
• Assessing, testing, and integrating third-party products effectively.
• Enforcing IT controls to ensure the security of application data and maintain system integrity.
• Designing and constructing RESTful APIs with Python for scalable and dependable architectures.
• Managing and processing batch files, which includes scheduling and fine-tuning batch processes.
• Collaborating closely with team members to evaluate libraries and technologies that align with technical and business objectives.
• Working with diverse databases such as SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, among others.

Required Skills

• Proficient in SQL scripting/querying and advanced database management.
• Expertise in Python programming, particularly for developing REST APIs and processing batch files.

• Familiarity with PySpark and handling extensive datasets (millions of records).
• Comprehensive understanding of the systems development life cycle, including unit testing, release management, and change control processes.
• A methodical approach to assessing and adopting new technologies to address organizational needs.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical design and coding within IT.
• Hands-on proficiency with advanced SQL, Python, and data processing tools.
