Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst for a one-year remote contract position in Raleigh, NC, to contribute to the development of business cases and process enhancements for the NC Child Support Services software solution. This role demands prior child support experience and offers a platform for professional collaboration and growth.

Key Responsibilities
• Identify and document stakeholders, data flows, and current and future state process flows.
• Gather, verify, and maintain essential business, functional, and technical/non-functional requirements to facilitate market analysis and software procurement.
• Convert client system requirements into actionable agile themes, product backlogs, user stories, and business requirement documents as dictated by the development methodology.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and subject matter experts to refine user stories and establish acceptance criteria aligning with the team's readiness standards.
• Engage with vendors or internal developers to ensure that functionality complies with defined acceptance criteria.
• Participate in gap analysis and detailed requirements development efforts.
• Assist the Business/Product Owner in organizing and executing user acceptance testing, including the creation of test scenarios and cases.
• Conduct requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Aid in the formulation of procurement documents including Requests for Proposals, Quotes, and Information.
• Participate in vendor evaluation processes and document findings.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and conduct market research for potential automation projects.
• Facilitate options analysis and aid in business case development for automation proposals.
• Record meeting agendas and minutes, facilitating key meetings related to requirements gathering and UAT.
• Support the project manager in maintaining project documentation and developing status updates.
• Assist in creating surveys, assessment tools, and project methodologies, while managing the SharePoint site for each project.

Required Skills
• Demonstrated expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis.
• Exceptional communication abilities for conducting meetings and workshops.
• Proficient in creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with software development processes and agile methodologies.
• Competent in performing gap analysis and ensuring requirements traceability.
• Knowledgeable in vendor management and procurement processes.
• Capable of managing project artifacts and generating status reports.

Qualifications
• Prior experience in Child Support Services is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• High attention to detail and exemplary organizational skills.
